The language of conduct of 
Music Theory & Analysis is English. Contributions should be submitted in both an editable version (.doc or .docx format) and hardcopy equivalent (.pdf format).

The six sections of MTA include:

Keynote article
Article written by a prominent music theorist, on invitation of the editorial board
(ca. 10,000 words, including footnotes)

Articles
Max. 3 peer-reviewed articles, possibly grouped in a thematic dossier
(5000-12,000 words, including footnotes; authors interested in publishing longer contributions should contact the editorial board)

Analytical vignettes
Max. 2 short analyses of specific pieces, peer-reviewed
(1000-3000 words; footnotes should be limited to a minimum)

Pedagogy
One article addressing aspects of teaching music theory and/or analysis, such as: teaching methods, textbooks, didactic experiments, teaching examples, programs, software, global vision of music theory education, etc.
(variable word count, depending on type of contribution)

Sources: Translation and Commentaries
This new section contains peer-reviewed contributions offering a (partial) translation and contextualization of an important music theoretical source.

Reviews
Max. 3 reviews of recently published books on music theory and analysis, also covering their educational use.
(1500-3000 words)
